Tinita has been in the cosmetology industry for more than 20 years and has called Austin home since 2000. Originally from South Texas, she sharpened her craft in some of the best salons in town before boldly opening her first salon at just 25 years old. Her passion soon led her west to Los Angeles, where she expanded into SFX makeup, working on photoshoots, productions, award shows, and inside some of LA’s most prestigious salons and spas. But Austin was always home, and in 2018 she and Michael launched VINYL Beauty Bar with a mission to keep the city’s creative spirit alive. Outside the salon, you’ll spot her DJ’ing or singing Dolly Parton tributes. Tinita makes everyone feel welcome.

Originally from Los Angeles (shhhh! Don't tell anyone!), Michael has been playing and enjoying and collecting music since before he could remember. He plays bass guitar mainly and is a Vinyl DJ around town. His tastes are all over the board, from rock and heavy metal to soul and funk and classic country. Nothing sounds or feels better than Vinyl records and he aims to keep the spirit alive by sharing and selling new and used and local independent records. Supporting local musicians is what he cares most about and what Austin needs if it is going to remain the Live Music Capitol. We're here for you!

Liz has been a Rockstar Hair Stylist at VINYL Beauty Bar since January 2020. She has 15 years of color and styling experience. She specializes in highlights, balayage, and all sorts of fun colors. Liz is trained and certified in OWAY and Pulp Riot and enjoys using her knowledge to create exactly what her clients are envisioning when they sit in her chair. She has worked with all sorts of creators and musicians here in Austin. Liz is an OG Texan from the Houston area and spent a great time in Oakland before coming to Austin 5 years ago. She's a big fan of walking her dog and jammin' out to tunes old and new, anything from Operation Ivy to Three 6 Mafia to Billy Strings.

Gabs is a talented nail artist at VINYL Beauty Bar with four years of natural nail care experience and two years behind the salon chair. Known for her gentle and knowledgeable approach, she prioritizes nail health through dry manicure techniques and specializes in Japanese gel application. With a background in graphic design, Gabs brings a creative eye to every appointment, offering hand-painted designs that are simple yet striking. She is also a certified Kokoist professional, using this premium Japanese soft gel system for its durability, natural finish, and versatility in nail art. Originally from Houston, Gabs has called Austin home for more than a decade. Outside of work she enjoys making playlists, catching local shows, hanging in the neighborhood, and exploring hill country getaways.

Lanae has been rocking nail art for more than four years, specializing in expert cuticle care while always prioritizing the health and beauty of natural nails. Known for her relaxing leg massages, she keeps clients coming back while also experimenting with fun and unique nail art ideas to bring any vision to life. Originally from the Detroit Metro area, Lanae has only recently made Austin home but is here for the long haul. Outside of VINYL, she loves hiking, horror movies, cooking new recipes, and playing cutesy Nintendo Switch games between trips to the dive-iest of dive bars. Favorite records include J Dilla’s Donuts, Deafheaven’s Sunbather, and Xiu Xiu Plays the Music of Twin Peaks. Future travel plans: Norway, Iceland, and Mexico.
